As baseball legend Yogi Berra once said, “The game isn’t over until it’s over.”

That quote, it seems, the Owens Express baseball team is following.

The Express have a losing team record of 13-21 through 34 games. They are 4-16 in conference play, making them last in the standings. However, they keep pushing on trying to make the best of the season.

According to Owensexpress.com, the team batting average so far through the season is .273.

For player with 50 or more at bats, sophomore Charlie Sipe leads the team in batting average (.375), on base percentage (.491) and slugging percentage (.682).

The Express baseball team play away at Lakeland Community College on May 1st.
