A month into the spring semester, men’s and women’s basketball are continuing to keep an above .500 record.

Twenty-six games into the season for the men’s team, their record stands at 15-11. They currently have four games remaining before the postseason. Postseason play begins March 1 for the Region XII District 11 Quarterfinals.

Freshman guard, Xavier Cochran, was voted player of the week back in January by the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC).

On the flip side, the women’s team has dominated the courts this season. The team is 20-6 with four games left in their regular season. Region XII District 11 Quarterfinals begin March 1.

According to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) the team is also ranked ninth in the nation after starting the year ranked fourth.

Jeryn Reese and Aysah Ingram have been nominated twice as player of the week by OCCAC.
