Basketball has now faded out and come to close.

The women’s basketball team made it all the way to a fifth-place finish to end their season. A loss against Kansas City led them to play for the fifth or sixth place game. To earn fifth, the team had to defeat North Arkansas College, and then Cape Fear Community College (North Carolina). The team finished with a 29-7 record.

The women’s softball team has come back from their Florida trip to begin their season. While in Florida, the team lost their first six games, but eventually turned things around to end the Florida trip with an 8-9 record.

Back in Ohio, the team has won all three games they have played, improving to an 12-9 record. A few games have been postponed for various reasons.

For men’s baseball, their trip to Florida landed them a 5-4 record. Since coming back to Ohio, the team has since improved to 10-5.

Owens golf will tee off this weekend in Defiance, Ohio for their spring season opener. For the fall season, the team placed no worse than third in their seven outings (two third place, four second place, and one first place finish).

The golf program will be looking to go out on top after hearing the news that the program will be cut for at least the 2016-2017 academic school year.
