Katie Mierzwiak
My name is Katelyn Nicole Mierzwiak. I am a young photographer looking for new inspiration while going to school to become a psychologist. I am also an Owens Outlook student staff member. I originally registered to Owens Community College for Photography and Commercial Art, but decided to go for a different career while still maintaining and improving my hobby as a photographer. I grew up in the outskirts of Perrysburg, Ohio, and graduated from Rossford High School and Penta Career Center in 2014. In high school, after I left Rossford and transferred to Penta, I chose to go into Interactive Media to enhance my skills as an artist while also learning how to work with computers and certain software, including how to make websites. My senior year we dabbled in the art of photography, and soon I realized that I wanted to become a photographer. Three years later, I’m still striving to make my dream a reality. One of my photographs was selected for the student art show last spring at Owens, and was published in a poetry book.
